Welcome family and Friends!

We are serving our second mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This time we are serving in Cebu City in the Philippines. We will be working in the new Cebu temple that was recently completed. This mission will be completely different than our first mission, with lots of new experiences. A different language is spoken here then was spoken in our other mission. Our first mission blog is still available to view. If you haven't seen it, let me know and I'll send you the link.

Manila Temple July 2011

Exotic fruits!

Another fabulous, exotic flower.

This is in Tagaytay...This city is the border between the Manila mission and the San Pablo mission. We have been here many times before.

Next time, we may meet in San Francisco

We had a great visit with our dear friends.

This is what Elder Spencer wanted a picture of

Steve had to stop and take a picture, so Elder Ganir took a picture of him.

We had lunch here to celebrate her aunt's birthday. It is a beautiful Pinoy home.

This is Tess's relatives...anunties and cousins.

Here's Steve watching Tess water the plants in front of their house.

We are now in Manila visiting Steve and Tess. Her she is with the gardener on the side of their house.

Overload of the day or just moving day!

Baguio is Illicano country...Elder Ganir's heritage...hard working farmers

Baguio, the agricultural center of the Philippines..lettuce, strawberries, broccoli, cukes, cauliflower...and lots more.

Baguio...an organized city.

Baguio...laundry day.

Up and Up

There is only one way to build in Baguio...UP

Oh! please!

Very restless!

The natives were restless!

Baguio, another view

Baguio....looking down

I just had to blog this beautiful flower.

Look just left of center and you can see the rice terraces.

Baguio

High on a mountain top...

Baguio...native hut

Giant ferns

Baguio is lush with lots of fir trees

We all went together..Wards, Ganirs, Bringhursts

Baguio is a tourist town high in the mountains so the weather is fabulous...so cool!

What a great reminder to us all.

Nice school and great sign!

There is lots of schools and good signage in Baguio.

Baguio has this as most of their taxies

Front of our hotel.

We stayed at the Microtel..it was pretty nice.

We then went to Baguio, high in the mountains.

Mt. Penatubo that errupted when Aries was on his mission.

Great monument! Elder Ganir did not get a picture of the name and info about it.

We thru out an orange, but thisw little guy would not share with the others.

Here is a better view

It is kind of hard to see, but there are seven monkeys in this picture.

Oh! There goes a bunch of divers.

I love these pavers. The leaves here in the Philippines are fabulous.

...and bamboo and grass ceilings

Yes, it had trees through the roof...

We had lunch on this bay.
