Welcome family and Friends!

We are serving our second mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This time we are serving in Cebu City in the Philippines. We will be working in the new Cebu temple that was recently completed. This mission will be completely different than our first mission, with lots of new experiences. A different language is spoken here then was spoken in our other mission. Our first mission blog is still available to view. If you haven't seen it, let me know and I'll send you the link.

Glad he is not flying!

This sign says it all

It takes three to pound the knife symotainiously

Sharpening the knife

Out of the fire behind him and ready to start shaping

We all know how Elder Ganir loves to give everything a try!

We stopped to see these knives being made.

Another nice view

Having fun sharing!

Cute, cute,cute!

Very nice

We stopped on the river to see some dancing

Lovely

Here we are

Still raining

You can still see the drops of rain.

It began to rain, very largest drops

river scenery

This river is the cleanest river I have seen in the Philippines

Our very nice river trip, including lunch and live music

Other things made of bamboo and Nipa plants

Some nice nipa huts

And here he is!

The sign to view a wild pig

....and continues to strut down his runway.

He is very large.

The Ostrich is saying hello.

A side view

He continues to turn around so we can see him from all angles

A very large and vain peacock

Mahagony Forest

A cleaver way to ventilate a house. Cut bamboo coins. See, you can even see into the house a little.

A better view, if you want one?

Can you believe it, another snake. A 550 lb. Python which is 26 feet long and is fed a pig or a goat once a month. He just had to touch it!

Elder Dare-Devil walking on a bamboo hanging bridge.

I always love the banana trees.

Some lovely rice terraces ready to be planted.

A caraboa, keeping cool on a hot day, in a nice mud bath.

..and he won't give up until I take a picture!!!!

...and before I know it, he is playing with the snake!!!!!

Elder Ganir will always find a snake...this one is an albino python

A nice view from the top of a chocolate hill. There are 1,776 hills.

CEBU CITY GANIRS

Soon all of the hills will be a chocolate color.

It does look like mogals for giants

No! it is not land of the giants..good picture though.

One interesting place ...it is called "Chocolate Hills"...one of the natural wonders of Asia.

We saw many interesting things..this is a cocoa tree. The red or brown pods are the cocoa seeds.

We three couples took a day trip to Bohol, which is the 10th largest island of the Philippines

Elder Ganir's Basketball injury, OUCH!

I have a smaller version of this. They are both very nice.
